BIO:

*THIS IS THE HISTORY OF THE CANARY ROCK METAL BAND WHISPER.

J.J. Stopignan (guitars & lead vocal) originally formed Whisper in summer 1992 with a neighbour, the band rehearses in Gran Canaria (Canary Island) and adopts the name Whisper, started live concerts at high school.

"Our band's repertoire consisted mainly of covers of AC/DC, Jimmi Hendrix, The Beatles, Rolling Stones,... and original material such as: Running Wild, Lustful Games, Fire Horses, Restless, Wild And Rebel Boys".

*At the end of the summer 1997 was recorded our first CD, Running Wild (98, Discan Records) and J.J. wears his uniform for the first time in November, and we toured extensively.
Mike Santana (drums) joins July 1999 to record another CD, Crazy Dreams (2000, La Atlántida Records)

"We played constantly to any type of crowds. We appeared in TV's, magazines and newspapers and performed many shows".

*"We recorded our third CD, Whisper Words of Wisdom (2003, La Atlántida Records), produced by ourselves, our first album. Our second long play". and fourth cd was recorded in 2005, tiltled: "Whisper´s Secret Room" (2005, La Atlántida Records).

*After 15 years WHISPER edited the D.V.D.: "15 Anniversary 1993-2008" (2008, La Atlántida Records), with photos, concerts, tv gigs, videoklips, from the early days till now.

After a period of time without shows but always composing WHISPER got back.

*In March of 2018 they begin their shows commemorating the 20th anniversary of their first E.P. Running Wild. 2018 is the 25th anniversary of the birth of WHISPER.

BY THIS MOTIVE ON JULY 29, 2019 A L.P. OF a show "Living in a WHISPER" WITH a D.V.D. titled: "25 Anniversary 1993-2018" (2019, la atlantida records)  is released.

Since november 2020 Due to the covid 19 the band start making live streaming once a month.

On April 2 -2021 a new E.P. is realised "Whispering The Early Years"
The first VIDEO-single is "Out of Control", THE SECOND "DARKNESS aGE" & THE THIRD "BY THEIR WAY".and the bassist and drummer leave.

in march 2023 the new e.p. "whispering tongues" is released and the first single "bittersweet" & the second "anti-beat-box-band". Which they promote until 2024 in venues and festivals sometimes playing alone J.J. as J.J.whisper.

BIOGRAFIA

*ESTA ES LA HISTORIA DEL GRUPO CANARIO DE MUSICA ROCK METAL WHISPER. 

Desde finales de los ochenta J.J. Stopignan (voz y guitarra) quiso formar una banda influenciado por la mundialmente creciente ola de grupos heavys, en 1993 formó el grupo con un vecino al bajo, la banda ensayó en Gran Canaria (Islas Canarias) consiguieron un batería adoptando el nombre de WHISPER y comenzaron sus conciertos en directo.

"Comenzamos tocando en: institutos, fiestas y pubs locales, nuestro repertorio consistía principalmente en versiones de: AC/DC, Jimmi Hendrix, The Beatles, Rolling Stones y canciones originales como: Running Wild, Lustful Games, Fire Horses y Restless,Wild And Rebel Boys. En el verano del 93 realizamos nuestra primera demo:" Whisper".

*A finales del verano del 97 grabamos nuestro primer CD, "Running Wild" (98, Discan Records) con las versiones originales de los primeros años y J.J. llevó por primera vez su uniforme característico en Noviembre.

*Mike Santana (batería) se une al grupo en Julio del 99 para grabar otro CD, "Crazy Dreams" (2000, La Atlántida Records)
"Tocamos constantemente ante cualquier tipo de público y aparecimos en televisiones, revistas especializadas y periódicos con buenas críticas".

"Grabamos nuestro tercer CD, el primer larga duración, "Whisper Words of Wisdom" (2003, La Atlántida Records), producido por nosotros mismos, en los estudios SoundLab" propiedad de J.J, con su respectiva promoción pasaron el 2003 y 2004.

*El segundo larga duración 4º CD fue grabado el 2005, titulado "Whisper´s Secret Room" (2005, La Atlántida Records).Con un sonido más ecléctico, en el cual se puede oir la gran variedad de diferentes estilos que pueden llegar a componer.

*En el 2008 LA BANDA DE ROCK/METAL WHISPER por motivo de los 15 años de la banda editan el D.V.D.: "15 Anniversary 1993-2008" (2008, La Atlántida Records), donde se ve fotos, actuaciones en televisiones, carteles, videoclips y conciertos desde los primeros años hasta la actualidad.

*El 29-VII-2011 se reedita en un disco los dos primeros CD´s de la banda WHISPER: Running Wild / Crazy Dreams. (2011, La Atlántida Records).Mejorando sus sonidos con nuevas mezclas y masterizado, todo ello en los estudios SoundLab, como es costumbre.

Después de un período de tiempo sin espectáculos pero siempre componiendo, WHISPER regresaron.

*Ya en  Marzo de  2018 comienzan sus shows conmemorando el 20 aniversario de su primer E.P. Running Wild. 2018 es el 25 aniversario del nacimiento de WHISPER.

pOR ESTE MOTIVO EL 29 DE jULIO DE 2019 SACAN un L.P. de un show "Living in a WHISPER" CON un D.V.D. titulado:  "25 Anniversary 1993-2018" (2019, la atlantida records) conmemorativo incluyendo: videos, fotos, ENTREVISTA.

a partir de noviembre de 2020 Debido al covid 19 la banda comienza a hacer streaming en vivo una vez al mes.
El 2 de abril -2021 se realiza un nuevo E.P. "Whispering The Early Years" PROMOCIONANDOLO CON LOS VIDEOS DE
El primer single "Out of Control", EL SEGUNDO "DARKNESS aGE" Y EL TERCERO "BY THEIR WAY" PROMOCIONANDOLO PRINCIPALMENTE EN CONCIERTOS ON-LINE debido al covid 19.
